Today is Costa Rica’s independence day, and we want to celebrate by sharing a beautiful location and outfit post with you. Cheers to the country where summer never ends!
This was my last road trip before leaving Costa Rica. My mom, Will, and I, drove to Playa Guacalillo, Puntarenas. It is a distinctive beach because it has a bluff that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. A sunset here, will take your breath away.
It was sort of a bittersweet moment, being at a lovely place, and at the same time, recognizing I had no idea of when I was coming back. But well, life is an adventure, and there are some opportunities you just can’t let go to waste.
I designed and sewed this swimming suit. Believe me, it was a pain, I didn’t have swimwear specialized sewing machines, but it turned out really nice! So knowing I was coming to Kansas, visiting the beach to take some pictures, was the perfect excuse.
Thinking back to that time, it was a pretty neat trip. Playa Guacalillo was the perfect place to say “see you soon” to this beautiful country of ours, and begin a new chapter.
Although we were not there today to see the faroles, and enjoy the traditional meals, we have Costa Rica in our hearts.
Perhaps we will cook some gallo pinto, look at old pictures, and think of how much we enjoy the colors of Costa Rica. Feliz 15 de Septiembre.
